1 Sturdy backback
1 Five Star vinyl folder with pockets and prongs (please, no silver prongs)
1 Wide-ruled, one-subject notebook (solid color, anything but purple. And probably not orange. Yellow is… meh.)
1 pencil box (no soft cases, solid color only, please pre-test the clasp by opening and closing it a minimum of 137 times so as to be sure it will endure the wear and tear of the year ahead). Inside box, please place:
- 2 Yellow, No. 2 pencils (pre-sharpened)
- 1 Pair Fiskars scissors
- 1 Elmer’s glue stick (must be purple unfortunately, school’s rule, not mine, trust me)
- 1 Genuine 4-leaf clover authentically located by your child (laminated, with pictorial proof of finding)
- 1 Box (24) Crayola crayons
1 Art shirt (take that for what it’s worth… this is art, HA!), labeled, in a gallon Ziplock bag (must be Ziplock brand)

4 Boxes (24) Crayola crayons
1 Box (24) Crayola colored (as in multi-color, not the out-dated, now-racist way of referring to African Americans) pencils
Pencil-top erasers (neon, multi-color, remove any purple, obvi)
2 Dry erase markers (they come in packs of 4 so you decide what’s right here)
4 Highlighters, different colors (but avoid purple at all costs. Or else.)
692 Elmer's glue sticks (purple, ugh)
1 Elmers glue bottle
Dried, pressed wings of the Sapho Longwing butterfly (light blue, check Costa Rica or Belize if struggling to find)
1 Package wide-ruled loose-leaf paper (green lines preferred, blue lines are so 5 years ago)
Eyelashes of a lesser saint (any relic will do really), encased in amber (some children have allergies)
1 Box elbow macaroni, gluten free
2 Kleenex boxes, square not round, whimsical patterns preferred (please, no aloe, as some of the children have allergies)
2–18 Packages of baby wipes (please use your moral fiber and general level of generosity to gauge how many you feel is appropriate, please no scented wipes, as some of the children have allergies, whimsical patterns preferred)
Girls: 2 Regular-sized Play-doh! tubs, 2 rolls paper towel (choose-your-own-size perforations, please, NO whimsical patterns)
Boys: 20-oz Purell hand sanitizer (unscented, please, allergies, yadda yadda), Clorox wipes
(Note: Transgender children need only contribute once and may submit anonymously or vocally and with a strong social media presence if you wish to promote our school’s tolerance. If your child identifies as agender or you have chosen to raise your child without gender, please close your eyes, spin three times and point to this sheet of paper. Whatever contribution your finger lands closest to, you are required to contribute on behalf on your child. You may wrap your contribution in brown paper to protect the anonymity of your purchase.)
Wish List!
We like to reward the children with stickers and candy! Any donations are greatly appreciated but not required. Please see the attached 14-page allergy guidelines for candy donations. Please avoid forest critters and yellow smileys for any sticker gifts because that shit gets on my last nerve.
Reminder!! Paperwork will be sent home the first day. Please block off 4-12 hours to complete this sometime during the first 2 days of school. Also, kindly remember that supplies may need to be replaced throughout the year. Thanks!!!!
